PE Foam Products

Foam Sheets

For superior cushioning protection, you can trust Precision Packaging Components for the most versatile, resilient, non-abrasive foam sheets. Flexible foam sheets are lightweight, closed cell, low density polyethylene (PE) resins that provide the best protection for a variety of products. These thin foam sheets are puncture and tear resistant, non-corrosive, CFC and HCFC free, non-abrasive and non-dusting. PE foam sheets protect manufactured products in shipping, production and storage. In addition PE foam is the most cost effective choice to give packaged products a professional, finished appearance when shipping to consumers. As with all PE foam products, PE foam can be reprocessed and recycled. PE roll foam comes in standard sizes which include widths of: 48", 60", 72", in thickness of 1/32", 1/16", 3/32", 1/8", 3/16", 3/8", 1/4", and 1/2". PE roll foam can be custom sized, perforated or slit to meet your requirements.

Anti-Static Foam

Protecting costly electrical and electronic equipment, circuit boards, microchips, computers and other sensitive devices has become a multi- million dollar industry. The protection of electronic components during the manufacture, storage, and shipping process has reached revolutionary heights when technical industries utilize anti-static pink PE foam sheets. Pink PE roll foam is used to prevent shock, vibration, and the dissipation of externally generated charges. An electrical charge will not be conducted even when friction is introduced between the electronic components and pink PE foam sheets. Pink PE foam sheets also help to quickly dissipate any externally generated electrical charges. Pink PE foam sheets meet the stringent requirements of Federal Specification AA59135 and AA59136.

PE Foam Applications

A broad range of industries use PE foam for its superior protection and insulating capabilities. Contractors and builders use PE foam during construction of residential and commercial buildings. PE foam is used in the packaging of agriculture products such as fruits and vegetables.

Other uses for PE foam include:

  • Material Handling And Cushioning
  • Sealer Between Wood And Concrete In Construction
  • Void Filling
  • Wood Floor Underlayment
  • Surface Scratch Protection
  • Trampoline Pads
  • Mattress Borders
  • Boat Cushions
  • Pool Floats
  • Life Vests
  • Many Other Uses

PE Foam Plank

The lightweight and superior cushioning qualities of PE plank make this foam one of the most exciting products in the packaging industry. PE foam plank is a thicker polyethylene (PE) product that can be processed into any shape, density, or thickness. It bonds to itself, wood, metal, vinyl, or paper with heat or adhesive. This non-toxic, odorless foam is UV, chemical, and heat resistant. PE plank's fine cell structure is elastic, resilient, and CFC and HCFC free, meeting the requirements of the Clean Air Act of 1990 regarding Class I and Class ll ozone depleting substances.

PE foam plank is used in a wide variety of industries. It is often used in the automotive and construction industries during material handling and even in the manufacturing process. PE plank material is used in many areas of the consumer goods industry such as: Archery and dart targets, Athletic Equipment, Boot Cushions, Flotation Devices, Exercise and Camping Mats, Toys, Golf Bag and Backpack Inserts.

PE plank material is available in Anti-Static grades and can be manufactured in a wide variety of colors.
